Aromas of allspice, cola, cherry, raspberry, cranberry, Marionberry, and rose petals. On the palate, this wine is dry and light-bodied with lively acidity and structure. Flavors include red currants, cherries, cranberries, black tea, and forest floor. There’s a strong midpalate presence, and a very long finish.
Stormy Morning Vineyard, Dijon 115 clone
The grapes were harvested by hand and destemmed to 1.5 ton vats. After a 4-day cold soak, fermentation began. The must was pumped over and punched down twice daily and pressed when dry. The wine settled overnight, then was racked to 25% new French oak barrels to age until bottling the following September.
