2014 Cabernet Franc
neutral French oak
This light red wine opens with aromas of strawberries, raspberries, and a hint of bell pepper. The strawberry note continues on the palate, along with sour cherries, smoky tomato, gravel, and a whisper of eucalyptus. Light-bodied, with refreshing acidity and low, smooth tannins.
Rattlesnake Road Vineyard, Columbia Gorge AVA
Made in a less overt style, fermented with 25% whole clusters. This wine aged 15 months in old French oak barrels, and bottled without fining or filtration. Emphasis on being a food friendly, homage to the Loire style, with balanced acid and softer tannins.
Food Pairing Notes
This light, crushable red is perfect for summer barbecues. Pair with tomato-based dishes, bbq with vinegar sauces, and plates with baked beans and potato salad.
