2015 Pinot Noir – Dijon Clone 115
Aged estate Pinot from Dijon 115 vines planted in 1999
Kramer Vineyards first planted Dijon Clone 115 in 1992, drawn to its bright fruit and elegant structure. The vines for this wine were planted in 1999 on our Yamhill-Carlton estate and have become a cornerstone of our clonal program.
This 2015 vintage—now nearly a decade under cork—shows the finesse and aging potential of Clone 115. Fermented with 25% whole clusters and aged for 18 months in French oak (25% new), it’s a bright, balanced Pinot with layers of red fruit, spice, and a long, lifted finish.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Aromas of cranberry, raspberry, and subtle oak spice lead into a silky palate of red cherry, strawberry, and red licorice. The texture is refined, with a lift of acidity and a peppery finish that lingers gracefully.
Vineyard Notes
Sourced from estate vines planted in 1999 to Dijon Clone 115 on our Yamhill-Carlton estate. The site’s marine sedimentary soils and gentle elevation create ideal conditions for expressive, balanced fruit with a strong sense of place. Clone 115 is known for producing wines with vivid aromatics, silky tannins, and age-worthy structure. The block sits on marine sedimentary soils in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, bringing brightness and structure to this focused single-clone Pinot.
Winemaker Notes
The fruit was harvested by hand and 75% destemmed, with 25% whole clusters included for added structure and spice. A five-day cold soak preceded fermentation with twice-daily punch-downs and pump-overs. After pressing, the wine was settled overnight and racked into 25% new French oak, where it aged for 18 months before bottling in June 2017. No fining or filtration.
Food Pairing Notes
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, duck breast with cherry glaze, grilled salmon, or pork tenderloin. Vegetarian pairings like mushroom risotto or roasted root vegetables bring out the wine’s earthy tones, while soft cheeses like brie, camembert, or aged goat cheese echo its silky texture.
