The Evolution of 2017

Limited Release: March 2025 Disgorgement

This 2017 Brut Prestige Cuvée represents a specific moment in our cellar's history. With 76 months on the lees, this third disgorgement offers a distinct counterpoint to our earlier releases. The inclusion of 29% Pinot Meunier provides a generous mid-palate fruitiness that stands up beautifully to the savory autolytic notes developed over six years of aging.

The Profile: The mousse is integrated and seamless. Aromas of baked apple and citrus peel lead into a palate defined by roasted hazelnut and a chalky, precise finish. It is powerful yet elegant, showcasing the longevity of Yamhill-Carlton sparkling wine.

Disgorgement March 2025 (80 Cases)
Time on Lees 76 Months
Composition 50% Chard, 29% P. Meunier, 19% P. Noir
Dosage 6 g/L

Winemaker's Perspective

"This disgorgement sits in a beautiful window. It has shed the nervous energy of youth but retains enough tension to age for years to come. The hazelnut note specifically is a hallmark of the extended lees contact." — Kimberley Kramer

Service Recommendation: Serve at 50–55°F in a white wine glass. Allow the wine to breathe for 5–10 minutes to fully reveal the toasted lees character.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Deeply layered with notes of baked apple, citrus peel, and toasted brioche. The 29% Pinot Meunier adds a fleshy red-fruit character to the mid-palate, while the 76 months on lees contributes roasted hazelnut and a creamy, seamless mousse. The finish is chalky and precise.
Vineyard Notes
Sourced from estate-grown blocks in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The 2017 vintage was shaped by a cool, wet spring and a mild summer with no extreme heat spikes, resulting in long, even ripening. These ideal conditions preserved acidity and structure, making this vintage well-suited for extended tirage aging.

Other Notes
