2020 Brut Vintage Cuvée – 44 Months en Tirage
Traditional Method Sparkling · First Disgorgement · 80 Cases
“Bright, precise, and built to age—this is one of our clearest expressions of place through sparkling wine.” – Kim Kramer, Winemaker
Crafted from estate-grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, this traditional method sparkling wine is a focused, mineral-driven expression of Kramer Vineyards’ hillside blocks in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The vines grow on marine sedimentary soils between 640–780 feet elevation, with terraced slopes that retain afternoon warmth and promote natural acidity—ideal for sparkling wine production. Aged nearly four years on lees, this estate-grown sparkling wine offers remarkable depth and detail for its price.
Harvested early on September 12 and 14, 2020 at 19.1° Brix, the fruit preserved bright acidity (8.2 g/L) and freshness. The base wine was fermented in stainless steel and bottled in June 2021. After 44 months en tirage, it was disgorged in March 2025 with a 5 g/L dosage.
This first disgorgement reveals a youthful, vibrant profile with early autolytic character. Pale gold in the glass, it shows a fine, persistent mousse. Aromas of green apple, Meyer lemon, and pear lead into subtle almond skin and fresh brioche. The palate is taut and chalky, with citrus and orchard fruit layered over a lingering saline finish.
Ideal for those who appreciate precision and minerality in sparkling wines. Only 80 cases disgorged.
