Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
This wine is very expressive, with aromas of cinnamon, lilacs, and cherries. Very elegant and precise on the palate, light-medium-bodied, with an easy acidity and lightly youthful tannins. On the palate, flavors of dark fruits like black currants, Marionberry, plum skins, and boysenberry, with hints of sweet spiciness and earthiness and a very long finish.
Vineyard Notes
This wine is a blend of Pinot Noir sourced from our estate Heritage and Cardiac Hill blocks.
Winemaker Notes
The fruit was harvested by hand and destemmed into 1 and 1.5 ton vats. After a 4-5 day cold soak, fermentation began. The must was pumped over and punched down twice daily and pressed at dryness. The wine was aged in 25% new French oak barrels for 16 months and bottled.
