2018 Pinot Noir Blanc

2018 Pinot Noir Blanc

White wine made from Pinot Noir has a very unique balance--fullness on the palate, buoyed by bright acidity, with delicate aromas of tree and stone fruits: apple, pear, and peaches, as well as the subtle red berry undertones found in rosé. It took us over 30 years of farming our estate vineyard to discover the perfect parcel of vines that yields the fruit for this very special wine.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Very pale in the glass, with aromas of red-skinned apples and bosc pear, with hints of candied ginger and vanilla. On the palate, there’s a plush, creamy texture, with a pleasing tartness, and nice mid-palate presence. Find flavors of yellow plums, Rainer cherries, kiwi, Meyer lemon, and honey.

Winemaker Notes
The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted, and whole cluster pressed. After settling overnight, the juice was racked to neutral French oak barrels to ferment. When fermentation was complete, the wine was racked, blended, and returned to barrel to age until bottling the following autumn.

It's really true that you do get a whisper of ginger with this wine. The other night, I made Salmon with Harissa spice rub, lemon zested Couscous, plus some roasted veggies and the 2018 Pinot Noir Blanc was a prefect match! I'll be back for more...Sushi night soon:)

A favorite with our guests to go with salmon or cheeses.
