2019 Pinot Noir Nouveau

2019 Pinot Noir Nouveau
available November 21

The third Thursday of November marks the worldwide release of Beaujolais Nouveau! These fruity, easy drinking wines are a celebration of the recent harvest, delivering a first glimpse into the quality of the vintage. The wines undergo a process called carbonic maceration, also called whole berry fermentation. This technique preserves the fresh, fruity quality of the grapes, without extracting bitter tannins from the skins. The resulting wines have aromas of banana, strawberry, fig, and pear, and are meant to enjoy immediately.

In celebration of this tradition, we're releasing our 2019 Nouveau Pinot Noir, a wine produced in this style. This is our second Nouveau release, following the wildly successful 2018 Tempranillo Nuevo. Our inaugural release sold out quickly, so don't wait on this one!

$22/bottle, 300 bottles produced. 6 bottle limit per person. Arrives on Thursday, November 21.

Winemaker Notes
The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted, and layered into a stainless steel vessel with dry ice. Then, the container was sealed to encourage carbonic maceration. After 16 days, the tank was opened, and the grapes were pressed, finishing primary in stainless. When fermentation was complete, the wine settled, and was filtered prior to bottling.
