June 30, 2021 | Kramer Vineyards

As of June 30, Wine County is Officially Open!

Effective immediately, all statewide health and safety restrictions are lifted. While mask mandates and social distancing measures may be behind us, we’ve learned a few things during this extraordinary time that will effect tasting room service moving forward.

Mask policy

Masks are optional. We will continue to host wine tastings outdoors and sanitize guest areas in between appointments.

Group size

Appointments are open online for outdoor tables for parties of up to 8 people; indoor groups of parties up to 6.

Tasting by reservation is here to stay.

When we introduced the reservation model last summer, our first priority was safety. We were determined to follow the guidelines to limit risk to visitors, employees, and our family. Our second priority was to offer the best wine service possible. Over the last year we’ve found that with our small facility and limited guest capacity, seated tastings and tableside service offers a much more relaxing, quality visit than wine tasting at the bar. We can offer better service and staff appropriately knowing how many visitors we’ll serve each day. Most importantly, the feedback from guests and visitors has been overwhelmingly positive. Reservations can be made online for parties of up to 8 people.

No reservation? No problem.

While we are often fully booked during peak hours (typically Saturday afternoons), we can usually find room for walk-in guests on other days. If you’re concerned about getting a table, just call ahead (503) 662-4545, or check for open tables online. Same-day reservations are often available. If we are fully booked, there is plenty of seating in the vineyard for wines by the glass or bottle service.

Events will be few and far between until 2022

Tasting room and vineyard events require a great deal of planning. Most are scheduled months in advance. We realized after the first shutdown during the spring of 2020 that due to the unpredictable nature of this crisis, event planning was something we had to let go. Now that the safety restrictions have been lifted, we can finally look to the future.
